Sede Affordable Staple Project(SASP)

SASP is an all-in-one daily nutrition Sede's GARRI pack with clean Sede garri, milk, groundnut and sugar. It solves hidden hunger where low-income families can only afford plain garri, lacking protein, calcium and healthy fats, causing malnutrition especially in children.

Sede Affordable Staple Project did not start in a boardroom. It started with a mother.
I met her while providing financial assistance for her petty business. Feeding her kids was a daily struggle. She had to soak garri overnight - not for taste, but to make it swell, to share enough as breakfast before school.
I was moved to tears. If she, in our community, with nothing to fall back on, no government assistance, no help in sight, has to stretch garri overnight to feed her children, how many more mothers like her are invisible?
That night, SASP was born. Not just to make garri - our staple food - affordable, but to make it nutritious.
> We upgraded common garri to a complete meal. Sede’s garri pack, we add groundnut for protein and healthy fats, and milk for calcium. From one gram protein to twenty five grams per pack - five times higher. Six hundred milligrams calcium per pack - sixty percent daily need for strong bones.
SASP-Sede’s Garri pack with groundnut and milk nourishes the body.
And affordable - one thousand two hundred naira for Sede’s Garri pack(500g, family size) with groundnut/coconut and milk versus one thousand five hundred for plain market garri.
With SASP, we combat hidden hunger and malnutrition in our community, in accordance with SDG 2 Zero Hunger.
From overnight soaking to full nourishment. From struggle to dignity." Our garri packs are now used as souvenirs for guests at parties & events promoting food accessibility
